This is a classic example of a tear caused by body oil, which hardens the leather surrounding the tear, usually making a perfect repair impossible. We would normally suggest reupholstery at this point but the owners wanted to go ahead with the repair.

This was taken with our camera (lighting completely different). It's not perfect but the owners were very pleased. Another win-win situation.
